sweet sundresses for summertime fun

This sundress is simple and sweet. It would be perfect for summertime fun! The price is pretty sweet, too. Buy one sundress for $25 or two sundresses for $45. E-mail us or visit our Etsy shop to order yours today.

Tie the straps as loose or as tight as she wants them. Don't tie the straps and tuck the ribbon into the sundress for a strapless look or a bathing suit cover up. Wear the sundress over leggings or jeans when the weather gets cooler. Pull the sundress down and wear it as a skirt when she is too tall to wear it as a sundress. The stretchy bodice means that your little one will have plenty of room to grow. Riley is three and she still has some room to grow in the Minnie Mouse sundress you see below. By our guesstimate, she will still be wearing it next summer. Poor Jack! We needed another, younger model and he was the only one available on such short notice. LOL What a trooper! Jack is one and a half and, as you can see, the very same dress fits him as a "patio" length dress.

The material for this sundress is available in the following prints and we will add more if/when we can find them. Please have a first and second choice when you make your order, just in case we can't find your first choice. We will, of course, coordinate the ribbon with the print you choose.

Minnie Mouse (pictured) - purple
Fancy Nancy (pictured) - light pink
Classic Disney Princesses - pink
Dora the Explorer - yellow
Tinkerbell - turquoise

The gorgeous headband Riley is wearing with the Fancy Nancy sundress was made by the lovely and talented Monique of PUNKnPIE Couture. Visit Monique's Etsy shop, fan page, or blog to purchase one of her boutique accessories or tutus. You will not be disappointed!

getting started

Are you interested in ordering a play canopy (or other product), but you're not sure how to get started? Everything you need to know is located in the right hand column. For example...

--> If you want to read a description of our canopy design, click on the "canopies" button.

--> If you want to read a review from one of our happy customers, click on the "share the love, leave a comment!" button.

--> If you want to get ideas for the theme of your canopy,  scroll down to "finding inspiration" and you will be able to click on either "canopies" (to bring up all posts with canopies we have made for other people) or "fabric samples" (to bring up all posts with sample fabric combos).

--> When you are ready to talk to us about your theme, you can click on the "contact" button to figure out the most convenient way for you to contact us.

We love going to the fabric store. So after you tell us what you envision, off we will go to get ideas for you. We typically find 2-3 combos (depending on availability/variety of material) in your theme and then e-mail you pictures and a price quote for each one. Then it's up to you to make the final decision before we get started. We would love to make a canopy for your son or daughter, your favorite teacher, or anyone else in your life who needs a fairy tent, fort, sanctuary, or hideaway to call their own.

little boy blue?

No! Little boy Brady, that's who! These two fabrics looked great together when we bought them, but the colors really came to life once the canopy was assembled. We think it exudes little boy charm and is perfect for a stylish little man like Brady. We hope Brady and his family will have lots of fun playing in it.

And, don't forget, the theme and/or color scheme of this or any other canopy can be adjusted to suit your taste. It can be made with or without tulle. The flower clips that hold up the "front door" can be replaced with butterflies, birds, or simple clothes pins painted to match the color of your fabric. We will work with you to make a canopy that your son or daughter will love.

This set of six was a custom order for Summer. The parents-to-be are having a boy and Summer requested fabric that was striped, sports, and/or animal related. We were able to find all three and we think you will love this darling combination too.

Summer also wanted to give her sister-in-law the added luxury of burp cloths made on diaper service quality cloth diapers. What a luxurious and fun set!

Great New Fabric!

Erin and I have been taking advantage of Jo Ann's "Coupon Commotion" the past week. It has been awesome. We ran out of coupons on Saturday just as we saw two adorable prints. We found coupons in another Jo Ann's ad that were good for this week, so we loaded the kiddos in the car and picked up these great prints. We're thinking they would make adorable cuddling blankets and swaddling blankets for your robot enthusiast or little ballerina! We're totally in LOVE. How about you?!
